Aftermath of Hurricanes -
11/24/2006Before the hurricanes it was a good small atmosphere still not very diverse or open minded but at least people were friendly now it's like a depression happened every one is very rude and ignorant. Sorry to say this I used to really enjoy living in this town aside from the huimidity but now when I go back to visit family I am always releived to get out of there where the people are nicer.

11/24/2006if your looking for the small town life and their point of views your in heaven besides the humid weather but if you are used to a more diverse and broad minded atmosphere beware ignorance is everywhere here and contagious.

not for everyone -
11/23/2006I have the unique advantage of seeing houston from two point of views I pretty much grew up in or around houston my whole life so I was used to the bad things like, traffic, the attitude of the cut throat houstonians, and the diverse culture is both good and bad. My husband however despised houston but he lived in a small town in texas his whole life, and couldn't see passed all the bad crime and overpopulated streets. There is a lot to do there but you have to be ready for the harsh city life its good for concerts, live sports and culture from music to people. don't move here if you don't like crowds, traffic, or ethnic diversity.
