11/9/2010I feel your pain. Moved here last summer. Husband is originally from here. We moved here because we were hit so hard with fall of economy-husband and I both artists and husband was installing kitchens right before we decided to move. We settled outside of city in Maceo, and everyone is friendly, but kind of lonely, and I am not a shy person. Miss Nashville area friends. What hit me about your comment is the job stuff. I feel so doomed, now...because that is exactly how I feel at my job. Blah!

11/9/2010I love living in Maceo. It is only 15-20 minutes from Owensboro. You can see the stars at night. Neighbors are quiet and helpful. If you enjoy being out in nature, hiking, hunting, or fishin, it has much to offer. I like living in the country while having easy access to a city.
