re: Nashville is a delightful place to live - 4/29 -
6/13/2008Hello,
Does Nashville have enough overcast days to characterize its weather as generally overcast and even dreary? I have been reading about a good deal of overcast days there. Please tell me what you have observed about Nashville's climate. Thank you very much. Jim in Flagstaff

6/13/2008Hello,
Can you describe Redding's weather between Nov. 1 and April 1? Someone has commented that Redding's weather is either too hot or too cold. Thank you very much. Jim in Flagstaff

Plusses and minuses concerning Flagstaff's climate -
6/13/2008I moved to Flagstaff in August 2005 in order to take a graduate forestry degree. The past 3 years have had increasingly colder, snowier, longer winters. If you do not mind a cold, generally windy to very windy climate during certain months, you will like living here. We had snowfall several times this May, albeit just an inch or two. For those of us who want to be able to hike and camp as often as possible, and wear shorts as often as possible, we feel trapped indoors from Nov 1- April 1, even longer, as far getting to do those things. What can make the cold weather tolerable is the great number of sunny days throughout 12 months. Still, I plan to relocate to a much warmer climate. I lived in overcast Buffalo, NY, for 21 years. Except for the abundance of Flagstaff's sunny days, the general coldness of Flagstaff's winters, and the number of months it stays cold in Flagstaff, the November-May weather here rivals Buffalo's, although we have not been getting as much snow. Flagstaff's elevation is 7,000; the deciduous trees in the Northeast and Midwest bud around 3 weeks before ours do. Feel free to contact me for more information.
