Freeland, WA is a small community located on Whidbey Island with a population of just under 1200 people. The schools in this area are highly rated and provide quality education to the children in the community. There are two local public schools; South Whidbey Elementary School and South Whidbey High School. Both schools have received excellent ratings from parents, teachers, and students alike for their high standards in academics and extracurricular activities. South Whidbey High School offers Advanced Placement classes, college preparation courses, as well as a variety of electives such as art, drama, theater, music and physical education. South Whidbey Elementary is also highly rated with its focus on instilling a strong foundation of basic skills as well as providing engaging learning opportunities for children from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Both schools strive to provide exceptional educational experiences for all students in Freeland, WA.

Freeland is on the south end of Whidbey Island, in Puget Sound just morth of Seattle. We retired here a couple of years ago after close to 30 years in Atlanta, GA.   More
