\nWest Allis, WI is a city located in the southeastern part of Wisconsin and offers a variety of transportation options for its residents. It has two major forms of public transportation: buses operated by Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS), and the commuter rail service operated by Amtrak. The MCTS bus system provides both local and express bus service throughout the area with routes to downtown Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Chicago and many other cities in Wisconsin. Amtrak's Hiawatha Service runs seven days each week between Milwaukee and Chicago with stops at West Allis Station providing access to intercity rail travel. Taxi services are also available in West Allis as well as ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. For those who prefer to walk or cycle around the city there are several bike lanes running through downtown West Allis as well as nearby trails for a more leisurely cycling experience.
