Politics in Parker, Colorado have been active and evolving for many years. The town is governed by a mayor-council government, with the mayor being elected in a nonpartisan election and the council members sitting for staggered four-year terms. The current mayor of Parker is Mike Waid, who was first elected in 2015 and reelected in 2019. He will be up for reelection again in 2023. Parker's Town Council consists of seven members representing seven districts across the town. Each district is represented by one voting member who works together to decide on policy initiatives.
