Gosport, Indiana is a small town of just over 600 people located in south central Indiana. The local politics in Gosport are centered around the town council, which consists of seven members elected to two-year terms. The town council is responsible for setting the annual budget and deciding on various laws and ordinances that will affect everyday life in the town. The current mayor is Jason Turner who has been serving since 2013. He is supported by the Gosport Town Council who work together to ensure that all members are doing their best to maintain order and promote growth within the community. As such, there are no local political candidates running for office at this time as all positions have already been filled and everyone is working together to keep Gosport a great place to live.
