Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania is a small town located in Lancaster County. It is home to about 11,000 people and is a vibrant community with many local organizations and businesses. The politics in Elizabethtown are overseen by the Elizabethtown City Council, which consists of a Mayor and five members who serve four-year terms. The Council meets at least once a month to discuss any issues within the city limits. They have the power to pass resolutions, ordinances, and set policy. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
