First of all, no one is ever happy where they live. Fort Myers is like any city...good and bad parts. They are everywhere even in lovely Naples! Cost of living depends North to South Fort Myers is completely different. Jobs yes I have one & it's six figures so it depends on if you have a degree or not, just like most places. Hertz is building a high headquarter so that will make plenty of jobs available. It is sunny and beautiful everyday in SW Florida & we were voted the top best beaches in the country! Bonita Beach barefoot beach is always number one! I absolutely love living in this area and my 3350 sq ft home, I would have a much harder time affording in NY. And BTW with my large home utilities with 2 Ac units blah blah run $60. A month- that is it! I have no idea where 200-300 came from lol, don't believe everything you read!
