Sketchy Police scam

Super sketchy, dirty beaches and an awful police department. Came here for a vacation and received a $50.00 parking ticket for supposedly parking my tiny Hyundai Elantra rental car in two spaces.

Couldn’t do that if I tried! Police force must be broke! Sanibel and Captiva are amazing but fort myers is super trashy. I definitely do not recommend.

If $50 bothers you then you definitely need to go live in the ghetto. I have lived in Fort Myers, Fl for 4 years and would say it's a relatively quiet and peaceful place. The sheriff is out every morning and waves hello to the neighbors. A very laid back place unless your going up to North Fort Myers. The is also plenty of stores and shopping.
