Review of Rancho Cucamonga Califor, Iowa

Great Place to Live if you can Stand the Heat
Star Rating - 4/27/2008
Located in the Inland Valley, it's windy and hot and dry. Pretty mountain views, including snow-capped vistas in the winter. Mild winters, mostly. Well-planned city with lots of history, culture, shopping, restaurants, theater. Expensive real estate. Long commutes.

We are retired, and have lived mostly in Northern California, which I hated. We lived in Arizona for 2 years, then moved back to So Cal, and on to No Cal. We are now in Nevada, and I'm really not liking the congestion and high car insurance rates here, so looking in the So Cal area.

HEAT? compared to where I live, Phoenix Arizona, summer starts around April and ends in November, we get over 117 degrees in summer and at night around 108 degrees. I don't mind 95 degrees, that would be heaven for me. :)
