I hear you, Sarasota is often unfriendly and mean. People are just rude and clicky. Hard to make friends because the locals are jaded regards newcomers since they come for the weather or won't be around long regardless. I see it as a giant medical clinic. I lived in the SF Bay area-totally different vibe although who can afford it. Don't get me started on the drivers. Worst in the country.
