Review of San Die,

Used to be a decent and livable city until........
Star Rating - 7/16/2017
A San Diego native here since 1976, and it's a shame how messed up this city has become. It used to be decent and livable up until the beginning of 2000 until every 'out of stater' came in changing the face of San Diego for the worse.
Let's start with the weather. Unless you are rich enough to live in the coastal areas, be ready to endure 90 plus temperatures inland. With that, we are in a major drought, so water restrictions are in effect meaning your lawn is a rock garden or weeds and your car looks like it went through the Baja 5000 a day after being washed. Oh Yeah! You can't wash your car on your own; that is a fine here. You will be luck to get a total of 10 days of rain here for the year.
Don't believe San Diego has the best climate in the US!!
Next; job market. The market is decent only IF you look pretty/ handsome or mommy and daddy set you up. Yes! Male bosses here are 'skeeves' and only hire a pretty face to get in their pants!! Hiring middle age people are out of the question, so you young 20 somethings have a leg up. Here it's not what you know; it's who you know and what you look like.
In the next 10 years, San Diego will be the new San Francisco. The city is geared towards rich, white, and the pretty. Average rent for a room is $1200; average 1 Bedroom apartment is around $1600; average home cost is close to $550K and is expected to be hovering $700K in the next 5 years. So if you want to live here and partake in the fun San Diego has to offer you need to: couple up (dual incomes); live on your own, at least $25 and hour to afford the basics; and to buy a home, at least 100K down payment at $60 and hour. This is a 'mommy and daddy' city meaning most kids are set up with their jobs and houses through their mommies and daddies. VERY lazy people here.
The outsiders coming to San Diego boast as being progressive and liberal, but really they are hypocritical bigots. I love cultural diversity, but most here shun it. When you mention you live in a predominantly Black or Hispanic neighborhood, be prepared to get all kinds of bad remarks. The city is HIGHLY segregated.
Ah! The people! Very FAKE people here. You are judged for what you have and not who you are. Forget about having a meaningful relationship here. Even if you are good to someone, you will be traded for a bigger better deal. Women here love dumb douchy guys. All you will get are Tinder hos. Yes! Be prepared for a STD check. A lot of one night stands and CHEATING goes on here. We rank number one in STD's.
So if you like hot days, being a slave just to have a roof over your head, like rude people, and want to get an STD from a cheater, then come on in.
