| 11/20/2006 | parent | Marcus Garvey, Has a very low quality academic program. I think they need someone who can take control and run the school the way it should be ran by a Principal. They need to look at the individual student needs and then proceed with an academic program that suits that individual child's need and coordinate that with preparing for state testing. The school should not be ran by the teachers. The school states that they do not have funding to provide tutoring for the children; however, the expect for them to pass the state required states. The only extracurricular activity they have so far is basketball. No music, art, or other extracurricular activities. They have a very low parent involvement group. I am currently a parent and from what I have observed so far, the staff does not was too much input from the parents. The entire staff and students to be accessed. |
