Something for everyone - 7/12/2022
I live in a suburb right outside of Cleveland. I fear Cleveland gets a bad wrap in many people eyes. Although many families moved to the area for steel and auto manufacturing work and many of the industries have closed or reduce the amount locations hence reducing the amount of jobs, I feel the city has a lot to offer. People are overall more friendly that other Cities and States I’ve lived in and the are a lot of nice restaurants downtown. The surrounding suburbs have a lot to offer as well. Not to mentions the best assets…. Lake Erie! The weather id beautiful in the summer. The season change is amazing in the fall. I would recommend doing some research and plan before you come. There is something for everyone here!

Cleveland is coming alive AGAIN - 12/19/2021
I relocated to Cleveland 8 months ago from south of Columbus, OH. Having spent a lot of time in Columbus and central Ohio, I wanted to change. So I spontaneously decided to up and move to Cleveland. Got a 1 bedroom apartment for a pretty damn good rate compared to most cities and what you'd pay for a decent 1 bedroom place. So there's that.... rent is definitely affordable. Move to Boston and expect to pay more than triple what you'd pay in Cleveland. The city has its disadvantages but its advantages topple it. It is coming up so much in recent years that its downtown area is alive again and has a nightlife once again. Summer was ALIVE in downtown CLE this year. Tons of music events, festivals, museums, you've got the lake and all the events that line it. The city by 2030 is going to make a huge turnaround. I believe its population will bottom out by then and start growing again. New leaders, a new mayor, many new officials taking charge in the past year or 2. This should make for

A great city that doesn't know how great it is. - 12/14/2021
Lived in Cleveland for 10 years. Loved it. Of course it has its issues, but there are a lot of great things about this city, and the people that live there should realize how cool a place it is. We unfortunately moved away in 2018 for job relocation. I would move back in a heartbeat. We talk about it all the time, so hopefully one day soon we will

Miserable city - 7/3/2021
I live in Cleveland for 7 long miserable years. I have lived in many cities and towns across the US and I can truthfully say that Cleveland is the only city where I got extremely depressed. Cloudy, cold and either rain or snow most of the time. The city is dismal to say the least. Crime runs rampant, you just don't feel comfortable in any part of the city. Roads are in deplorable shape. Racism is rampant, jobs are few and far between. Their transit system sucks at best. If you are thinking about moving here, just don't do

Awful city glad I'm gone! - 7/3/2021
I lived in Cleveland for many year and could not wait to get out of that nasty hole. Racist, bigotry, drugs and ignorant people abound. The city is full of slums, deteriorating buildings and roads. Crime is rampant no matter what part of the city you live in. It was considered the mistake on the lake in the 70's and the 80's and it still is!! No wonder this city is still losing

Family -oriented city - 6/17/2021
I am new to Cleveland and this is my impression .
Although Cleveland is a medium city is still have a suburban feel . It is very spread out with unnecessary 50s highways that run through it , which creates pollution, noise and cut the city on half. On the bright side there is not a lot of traffic , even on the rush hour. If you move here from a small town , you will be shocked by the amount of littering everywhere . If you come from a big city , you might find Cleveland not very exciting.
The Bad; Yes , it is industrial and the rotting away building are an eye sore and makes the city look depressing. Wages and job opportunities are nothing to write books about and at this point this is not even unique to Cleveland anymore.Roads are medieval in the city , but are somewhat okay on the outskirts. Wealth disparity is very apparent here. Public transportation is not very good ,expensive and barley covers most areas .There is crime here , everyday there is some murder story .

Review on Cleveland Ohio - 6/2/2021
I have grow up in Cleveland lived in Cleveland Oh my whole life and can't warn anyone enough about this place east and west its all the same. Unfortunately corruption along with gangs and drugs have completely took over . Schools puplic schools are not safe at all for any child thats not thug life. Housing is cheap to investors but every non affordable to anyone with regular employment. Downtown is used to bring money to the city and stay inside Downtown leaving neighborhoods to basically deplored even more. Also let's not forget the juveniles car jackers that the judges allow to go free even after the shoot the blocks up and steal groceries. And with all the crime here if your a victim be prepared to be victimized for months and years before you even get any closure here in Cleveland Ohio . Business owners will likely be killed or vandalized to make a buck because lord knows if police do what they are paid to do its a race riot. All surrounding suburbs are at risk and often prey to

Cleveland is a hidden gem - 5/6/2021
I am originally from New Jersey. lived in Pittsburgh for 10 years and have now lived in Cleveland for about 10. I feel like I can give a pretty good comparison of both cities.
While in Pittsburgh I lived all over the city; in Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, South Side and then out in Monroeville. I worked in downtown Pittsburgh and the Strip District for several years. While in Cleveland I have lived in Ohio City, Strongsville, Independence, Chagrin Falls and now in Lakewood.
There are a few similarities between the cities, but just a few. The cities have their own personalities and dialects. Pittsburgh says it is midwest, but it is not. Cleveland is. Both cities are crazy about their sports teams. Pittsburgh I find is more rabid about the Steelers and Pens than Cleveland is about the Browns or Indians or Cavs. But then again Pittsburgh has won a lot of championships, so I get it, sort of. But in Pittsburgh it seems there is just too much talk of sports. I'm not a huge
