I have lived in Oracle for 6 over months now, and have lived many places in the US. This is one of the most friendly small towns I have found. Good rental homes are hard to come by, but there are many for sale at a low price. There are many community activities and an acceptance of many kinds of people. Groovy Yuppies Invade Oracle - 10/18/2009
The Beautiful people have arrived.Who thought that artists were poor? They are buying They fought developers for years so they could all have their little piec of paradise. Since when did developers become so evil? Building houses is not a sin. In 1970 the U.S. population was around 200 million people. Now it is 300 million. Someone please tell me where these extra million people are supposed to live? Not in Oracle. Of course unless you are an artist. The same thing happenned in Sedona. The groovy people bought up all the land, and caused the taxes to skyrocket. Now 2nd and 3rd generation Sedonans must live in the nearest towns away from their beautiful area. the same situation exists in Oracle now. I heard an artist say they want to eliminate all the mobile homes. What hubris! When I first move here one of these beatiful people asked me why did I bother moving here if I wasn't an artist? Gee I don't know. I just don't know anymore
