Phoenix, Arizona is a bustling city known for its warm climate, desert landscape, and vibrant cultural scene. Located in the Sonoran Desert, Phoenix offers a unique lifestyle and attracts people from all over the country. INVEST in PHOENIX area NOW when its too late!!!! - 9/8/2006
All these people talking neg. about Phoenix...that just means that they aren’t well off or doing anything with their life in a positive way. The fact that major corporations are moving to Phoenix and creating new GOOD jobs. The fact that it is the number one growing city in the USA period! The fact that the taxes are low! There are soo many positive things going on. Its the only sector in real estate that is seeing this kind of property value rise. If you buy a home now in Maricopa county...a new NICE home, in a new housing track....u can get for $250's...but!!! if you wait say 6more months that same home will be going for almost 300k. So if your a new home buyer or if your an investor its time to buy now! yes i have an agenda. I can get you in a investment property or a new home for your family at NO CLOSING COST TO YOU AT ALL....tell me who else can do that. If you want to hear more email me Adrianahmad@gmail.com. I can prove to you by treads and past performance, comp checks...just Read More

Phoenix-Major City; Small Town Flavor - 8/25/2006
I moved here about 2 years ago, from the south. The 2,300 mile journey seemed worth it, at first. Cheap cost of living. Beautiful parks and safe area for walking...all within a short distance. Very mild Winters, major stores and nice eateries within a short distance. Used to commuting for work, so 25 minutes didn't bother me. Overall, people are friendly. Now, the culture....much to be desired. (Outside of church, there is none). I miss going down the radio dial and keeping up with the latest and greatest hits. I have to dig deep to find new release. Yes, I can find music on the internet, but I'd rather make better use of my web time. I crave good, (reasonable priced) seafood, not from national chain. I long for green grass, big yards and local lakes. The wages seem to be lower for professional jobs, even for contract work. Otherwise, I gained some life-changing skills, learned a lot about God and me...Mission accomplished! I've got to run. I have a few months left on my lease, then I Read More

Trying to get more info about PHX - 8/25/2006
My husband and I are considering a move to the PHX area, specifically the East Valley. How bad is the commute from this area to downtown PHX? I have read a lot of the posts that talk about the terrible traffic and I wanted to find out more. If anyone can provide info, I would appreciate it. Read More

In my opinion, Phoenix is the urban jungle that has good points and bad points, just like any other city. If you like warm weather, than Phoenix can be the perfect place for you. Even when it gets "too hot to trot" outside, unless you are transportation challenged, you will find that it is livable during the late June to August period. If you want to avoid the hot sun in the summer time, than simply become an early riser. As for traffic and air quality, this is subject to improve with light rail (possibly) and better transportation planning. If you live in the Central part of the city, you will be in pretty good shape. East Phoenix is the "place to be", especially the Northeast (closer to Scottsdale) with its mountain preserves. West Phoenix is the area most people liken to cheaper housing, but some consider it to be more gang-ridden. That is maybe the reason why so many families end up moving to the burbs'.  Read More

Phoenix - 8/15/2006
I lived in Phoenix for 13 years. It had changed a lot. It does have its drawbacks and benefits as any large city does. Drawbacks: Traffic is difficult and stressful - people don't get to know their neighbors - summers are very hot (and you stay in your airconditioned car, work, or home). Benefits - a lot of large companies (treated well, well pay, great benefits) - any sports or entertainment venue you want (sports, night clubs, golf, and within a few hours of snow skiing, lakes, etc.)- property taxes are very low - no ice to scrape off your vehicle in winter. I left because I wanted a little space (land is expensive in AZ), a small town atmosphere, slower pace, cleaner air, and a place my children could eventually purchase a house (prices are getting very high). As far as drawbacks, there aren't as many as some of the older large cities from the east and west Read More
