Dirt ville usa - 8/13/2021
I don't know what the beautiful sunset looks like out here. I cànt see it. The dilapidated trailers block the view. The other abandoned properties are not in the way. I thought the trailers across the street were abandoned until I saw someone come out. You will need a lot of fencing, big yard lights, and a dog. I sleep at sunrise. There are people roaming the desert all night on ATV's. People are on foot until the early am. The mail is sketchy. The postal worker does not like to deliver boxes. So she won't. I cancelled my Amazon account for that reason. I know the schools are very low rated out here. So there's just not enough pluses for this area. Read More

stunningly beautiful Sonoran Desert - 4/27/2021
If you have the money to live in a million dollar home in the foothills, Three Points won't appeal to you. But if you're looking for a country home, you get much more house and land for much less money out here. And the views and sunsets are breathtaking. It's a place where your neighbors still know you and will help you if you ever need it. And Tucson with all its restaurants and artsy stuff is only a half hour drive away with the new fast Ajo Hwy. With the decision to put in new interstate 11 halfway between here and Tucson, property prices seem to go through the roof, which is a shame, people should buy out here for the love of the pristine Sonoran Desert, not for real estate games. No emissions required in Pima County. Horses and livestock allowed. Simple and peaceful living out in Three Points.

Three Points, the escape from Tucson - 5/22/2008
My wife and son and I moved to Three Points one year ago, after 29 years of living in central Tucson. I am not surprised at the growth rate you report--you get far more home for the money in Three Points versus Tucson. Although the overwhelming majority are manufactured homes, the average home is between $100,000 to $150,000 for a 1500-2200 sq. ft. home on 1-5 acres of land. The mountain views in the Sierrita Mountain foothills are fantastic, the atmosphere is generally quiet, and at night quite dark (due to nearby Kitt Peak observatory). Ajo Way (State Route 86) provides a good 45-minute commute to Tucson for working adults. It is not congested presently, but I fear that as more Tucsonans discover what we have, the county will have to widen the highway to accomodate the increase in Three Points commuters. Even with the sharp increase in gas prices, a lower mortgage payment in Three Points still more than offsets the cost of the extra amount of gas required to Read More
