Hometown - 10/11/2016
I grew up in the little section nestled near the hospital, It's more citrus heights than it is fair oaks but i get in on a technicality. I loved growing up here, hella good memories, dad still owns his old house here. Super tight hood with not a lot really going on. I sort of miss hearing the roosters every morning. It's finally recovering from the '08 crisis, but the apartment prices are still typical for anywhere between arden to roseville.

A lot of people complain about the infrastructure (no lights, pot holes, etc.) but that's because it's the last town in the area to not be incorporated. That means it's up to the county (lol) to do something about it. I don't see why people want street lamps though, the glow from the grid is enough to see and it shining into your window every night are deterrent enough for me to not want them.

Traffic has always been an issue. Half the town sits on madison and sunrise, what did you expect? Whats cool about it, and the Read More

Think before you move here - 8/24/2012
Moved here in June and am leaving in September. Not an ideal place. Sacramento county is one of the worst. Move to Placer county, much better amenities. There are NO street lights, this is NOT the country. The streets are no better. Potholes, massive cracks. The people don't watch where they are driving, blow stop signs and the grammar school is really bad. The drivers there don't follow the speed limit. Normally, in residential areas, the speed limit is 20-25, there are NO signs for the limit. In the school area, again, NO signs and the speeding goes on. I feel sorry for these kids, they are just children. I have lived in Fair Oaks before and it was great, things have gone downhill in this state very badly.  Read More

Love this city :) - 8/3/2009
I've lived in Orangevale, CA for about 10 years. Fair Oaks is right next door and ever since I've lived in the area I have LOVED Fair Oaks. The homes off of Winding Way are beautiful, with both privacy and character they are the dream homes of many. I attended Bella Vista High School, one of the best public high schools in the area. Basically all the areas in Fair Oaks are safe and in good condition and the city itself is clean and respectable. For anyone that is looking to live in Fair Oaks, I would say yes! do it! Read More

Fair Oaks, CA - 7/16/2009
This is a small affulent community that is well established with great access to the freeway. There is so much to do with great resturants, plays, concerts, and a peaceful community. Winters are in the 40-50's and unfortunately the summers are 90-100's. Our hot weather is from July to the first of September. Alot of sunny days. Traffic is getting bad, but it is a bedroom community for Read More

Housing Discrimination - 7/4/2008
I applied for and was approved for an apartment in Fair Oaks. Later (I do not need to expose my being disabled) when I stated I had a Service Animal, my approval was pulled back. I know this is just this one complex, however, it left a very bad taste in my mouth. We decided to move somewhere Read More
