A nice place to raise small children - 7/29/2011
Mission Viejo, CA. This town is always on the "Safest Place To Live in the Nation" list. Some years its makes #1 and other years #2 but is consistently on the top 10 list.

I have lived in Mission Viejo for 14 years and find the quality of life great! There are many great schools, recreation facilites (golf, Mission Viejo Lake, swimming, ect.) for any age. We have a beautiful and upscale mall and are close to many other cities that have beautiful attractions and areas. If you are active or retired, you'll fall in love with Mission Read More

Quality of Life is great! - 2/22/2009
We enjoy an excellent quality of life in Mission Viejo. We have Mission Viejo Lake which sports beaches, BBQ's, playground equipment, paddle and party boat rentals as well as a summer concert series and holiday events year around. Conveniently located on the 5 Frwy Mission Viejo has top quality heathcare, especially for children wtih CHOC at Mission Hospital, a world class shopping center and plenty of rolling hills. Mission Viejo is a short drive from major Southern Califonia employers, less than 30 miles from LA and 65 minutes from San Read More

Clean, Beautiful, Safe, and Expensive place to liv - 11/22/2007
There are pretty much no downsides to living in Mission Viejo except the cost of homes. That's pretty much Orange County wide however and MV is more affordable than the beach city communities. Unless you have $60,000 to put down and have a high income, if you are moving here from out of state be prepared for the fact that you will have to start with a tiny condo and work your way up as you accumulate appreciation on your home. A 2 bdrm condo in a decent area is going to run you a least $500K plus the $300 a month association dues. On the bright side, homes appreciate at a faster rate than most of the country so you just have to hang in there. The schools are award winning, great place to raise a family. Mission Viejo has also been voted one the safest places to live for a number of years now. Great place to live if you can afford Read More
