Living in Aurora - 12/12/2009
I have lived in various locations in Aurora. I lived at a very attractive well kept up apartment complex with good maintenance. Most of the original neighbors I had were very good neighbors. When more people from other areas came to live where I lived they started causing all kinds of trouble and the crime went higher the more the neighbors didn't care about anybody but themselves. I moved into another area that was a safe nice place to live until the drug dealers and substance abusers made it a living ----. But I started a Neighborhood Watch and it irritated the "bad apples" enough to get them kicked out or they moved on or they learned to become better neighbors. I think some people just need some education and positive role models and we can all be better neighbors and look out for one another. We should all teach the children in our neighborhoods to be polite and courteous and respectful of one another. We all come from unique backgrounds and cultures and maybe we can learn

All around place to live - 5/21/2009
I came to Aurora from the Northeast and I'll have to tell you, there is more good than bad here. It's kinda slow but not as a little po-dunk town. I think the people make the most out of it. Everyone is pretty nice so it has that South East feeling but has a lot more to do. If you like outdoor activities, mountain climbing, bike riding and running can be done in some of the best weather. We have all the major sports and even minor sports in the ones we don't have.
