Boston - 4/6/2007
I've lived in and around the Boston area for all of my 30 years, bottom line i'm looking to move away. I bought a house 45 mins north of Boston, on a good day it takes me 1 1/2 hours to get into the city and that is leaving at 6 A.M. The T (the subway) is the most inconsistent transit system i've ever been on. The major interstates have so many pot holes, it's ridiculous. Good luck moving here, it is a fun city but the cons out weigh the

Housing prices are like sodomy - 3/16/2007
Boston is one of the best places to live if you are, young, open minded, rich, well off, or monetarily secure, cost of living and is high, housing costs are worse. Plan to spend most of your money on where you live, a lot of booze, enough on food to get by...don't plan on having any

If You Like Corruption You'll Love Boston - 3/16/2007
As someone who used to own a business in Boston I found out how totally corrupt this city is. It is like living under a tin pot dictator. If you don't pay you don't play. If you are going to live here you should become part of the public sector as people who aren't are footing the bill for those who ride in the wagon.
Caution: People are moving away from here in droves. House prices are falling and will continue to. Property taxes are through the roof and will continue to climb in order to fund the out of control public employee pensions.
Just yesterday I read about a public employee who, along with his huge pension, is being paid $500,000.00 to give up his job so that the new governor can give one of his friends the postion.

Not favorable for Mexicans - 9/28/2006
The people in Massachusetts welcome foreign students but not foreign people living in the state or exotic cultures. It is not a favorable state if your background is not Caribbean, European or Asian or from an established population. Puertoricans don“t like that Mexicans take up their jobs opportunities. For example, I talked to many Mexicans who could not develop their businesses or sell to Hispanics, they had to cater only the anglo market in order to

I hate Boston - 9/20/2006
I lived in Boston while going to Boston University from 2002-2005 (not during the summers though). I was so glad to leave, and I will probably never go back. The people in Boston in general are rude, especially the drivers. They are always in a rush and if you don't know where you're going, they'll slam on the horn and flip you off. When you're first at a red light, if you don't go within 1 second of the light turning green, they're on the horn, screaming their heads off. It is really easy to get lost, there are lots of one way streets and roads are closed for construction or events, usually the one I need, and there are no easy detour routes. I almost always took the T (the public transportation system), and while it's easy getting around the city this way, getting on the T, especially during the school year, is a whole other story. Countless times I have waited half an hour, only to have the T pass me by. Sometimes even two or three pass by. They are so jammed full of
