Lathrop, MO is a small town located in the north-west of Missouri. It is known for its rural atmosphere and its close proximity to Kansas City. It is a great place to get away from it all and relax. The town has a few restaurants, bars, and several local parks that offer plenty of outdoor activities. There are also some historic sites and monuments in the area that are worth visiting.
The reviews of Lathrop, MO are mostly positive. People who have visited the town speak highly of the people they encountered there and the overall experience they had. The town offers a great selection of restaurants and places to shop, as well as festivals throughout the year for visitors to enjoy. How the statistics are compiled on this site I can - 6/8/2008
There is 1 very small grocery store where you can generally buy about a half dozen items per week on sale at a "good price", everything else is out of this world. The alternative is a few convenience stores, which are even worse.
Restaurants are priced about average and tend to give generous portions and
friendly service.
You can't touch even an old release video/DVD for under $2.50/day specials.
There is no cable! DirecTV or Dish, therefore an added expense of DSL if you
want high speed internet.
Can't comment on the night life other than there are a couple of bars in
town but I haven't checked if there is live music, karaoke, sports or ???
I find the attaching of "trash pick-up" to your water bill at $13.00
regardless of household size to be outright extortion.

Cost of living outrageous, DYING town. - 5/17/2008
How the statistics are compiled on this site I can't imagine. There is 1
very small grocery store where you can generally buy about a half dozen
items per week on sale at a "good price", everything else is out of this
world. The alternative is a convenience store, which is even worse.

friendly service. There is NO fast-food, only thing close is a Subway inside the gas station/convenience store.
You can't touch even an old release video/DVD for under $2.50/day specials.
