What BestPlaces Users Say about Dublin

Dublin, Ohio is a small city located in the Columbus metropolitan area with a population of around 50,000 residents. It has been consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the state of Ohio, known for its strong economy, good schools, and family-friendly atmosphere. However, as with any city, there are always varying opinions and experiences. Here are four different user reviews from BestPlaces.net about living in Dublin.

Summarized user reviews:
1. "Dublin is a great place for families with children. The schools are top-notch and there are plenty of parks and activities for kids. The only downside is the high cost of living, but the quality of life is worth it." - Sarah1234

2. "I moved to Dublin for work and have been pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and friendly the community is. The downtown area has a charming small-town feel and there are always events going on. The only complaint I have is the traffic during rush hour." - JohnDoe85

3. "I've lived in Dublin my whole life and have seen it grow and change. It's definitely a safe and well-maintained city, but it lacks diversity and can feel a bit cookie-cutter. However, there are still great restaurants and shopping options." - Dublinite22

4. "Dublin is overrated. The cost of living is way too high for what you get. I've also noticed an increase in crime in recent years. I would much rather live in a smaller town with a lower cost of living." - MidwestMama

Overall, it seems that Dublin is highly regarded for its family-friendly atmosphere, good schools, and community feel. However, some may find the high cost of living and lack of diversity to be drawbacks. As with any city, each person's experience may vary.

Excellent Education - 4/23/2015
We moved to Dublin, OH in July 2014, and the major factor in our decision was the wonderful school system. We are thrilled with the schools our children attend. The teachers are great: passionate, innovative and caring. There is a lot of variety in the programs offered, and there is a commitment to differentiation and helping each child to grow and succeed. Dublin, Ohio graet place to live - 2/26/2013
Dublin is a quiet northwest suburb of Columbus where people value their children's education and safety. Great place to live for settled single individuals, families, and the elderly. Columbus is a 20minute drive away to enjoy urban attractions and night life. Read More

Dublin Ohio: America's best little town - 10/4/2012
I've lived in many places over the decades and been deployed abroad to several other nations, so I've seen a bit of what the world has to offer.

Originally from SW Ohio, about 15 years ago I had the good fortune to purchase a home in Dublin Ohio. While no place is perfect, this little town is nearly perfect for raising a family.

Education options for children (and college-bound kids) is excellent. The schools are well maintained, competently staffed, reasonably administrated and diverse (if that's worth anything to you). I am confident in the education my child is receiving in the Dublin Ohio city school system.

It is a small town with that small town look and feel (corn statues!?) but I'll take that over high-culture and the high-crime that accompanies it any day. It IS truly suburbia! Dublin is that great little town where you can still walk the streets at night with your kids and dog.

Housing market - 9/30/2012
Housing market fell sharply in 2008 and did not show any signs of recovery until late 2011 and early 2012. House prices are still depressed about 10-15% from 2008 highs. However, unlike Columbus Dublin is strong economically and still attracts more home-buyers than the rest of the surrounding cities in Columbus metro-area.  Read More

Very nice place for 6 months per year - 4/11/2011
Columbus OH/Dublin,

Very comfortable suburban living for half of the year. Columbus has a low cost of living, areas of low crime, it's a state capital, and a huge college town. Great zoo and if you like cheap golf then there are plenty of places for that. It is not a typical urban city and not a big nightlife city. Others finding it "boring". Fared better than most of Ohio in the downturn but still adversely affected. From Nov - March this is not a good place in my opinion as it is cold and grey most of the time. Some folks like winter sports and enjoy that time and the cold. I'm not one of them but April-October has kept me here. There are some really nice folks here and that counts for something.
