Thanks for your web site. I find it interesting and useful. I have lived in Cumberland foe 20 years and really like it. I guess I would like many places in the US as long as I had my family with me. My main reason for using your site is to find a location for a second home/business location. Probably in the North or South Carolina. I know RI gets a bad rap but its still a very beautiful state. Read More

Kind of a mess right now... - 1/8/2008
Cumberland seems to be in a bit of a growth spurt and it doesn't quite know what to do about it! The high school is undergoing massive renovations (that have gone on into school time, at times endangering the kids) and there have been numerous bonds passed to fund this. As a parent, I'm happy that my kids will eventually go to a new(ish) high school, but I'm thinking of moving to neighboring Lincoln before that happens.

Our mayor, btw, is proposing a charter school with local cities including Central Falls and I believe Pawtucket. Not too sure how I feel about that but at least he's trying to think outside of the Read More
