Cedar Park Summerized - 8/14/2019
I have lived in Cedar Park for more than 10 years .And Cedar park is the best place to live! It is not crowded like Austin, and it is not too small either. To summarize Cedar Park, It is a nice medium-sized town great attractions close to stores and Austin, Round Rock , Leander , Camp Mabry , And more. There is no crime (well that I've heard of) and in Cedar Park the people are nice and Read More

Mediocre & busy body - 5/2/2013
Cedar Park is a mediocre city, at best. As far as weather, the extremely hot and long summers make the quality of life here next to horrible. Also, contrary to the belief the school system is good here (LISD), it actually isn't, but neither is Round Rock ISD, Austin ISD, Georgetown ISD, Pflugerville ISD or any other of the school districts. That's because teaching of kids here is all about passing the TAKS test and not about teaching them the basics of Math & Science. The press is all about getting kids to graduate in the top 10% of their class. Well, it is actually impossible to get all the kids to graduate in the top 10% of their class! But, LISD just doesn't get that. There is a lot of bullying that goes on in the schools here and if you move here, don't expect your kids to make long lasting friendships because it just doesn't happen. If they get involved in sports, that helps, otherwise making friends here is very plastic. I've lived in Cedar Park, TX since 1999 and Read More

If you like warm, hot weather - central Texas is the place for you. If you are not comfortable with 4-5 months of 90 degrees + weather, central Texas is not for you!Read More

Boring suburb next to an overrated city. - 10/10/2010
Austin is an overrated city, but this is not a review of austin. But even fans of Austin will admit that Austin has a traffic problem, and this in turn is due to mediocre mass transit; even by Texas standards.

In other words, Cedar Park is your usual boring suburb too far from downtown urban areas to matter. And being next to a supposedly good city, your Cedar Park home will cost more money than many other better suburbs.  Read More

Cedar Park's Quality of life - 1/18/2010
We have lived in Cedar Park for 17 years and I wouldnt live anywhere else! We started out raising our 2 older children in AndersonMill West and then had 2 more children and moved to Ranch@Cypress Creek. The Quality of life in Cedar Park is wonderful. I wouldnt want my children raised anywhere else. The taxes tend to be somewhat higher than surrounding areas but Cedar Park is a safe, clean city for any family to enjoy. The schools are awesome and we have 2 children that have graduated form CPHS and currently have one in CPMS and one in DeerCreek Elementary. One of our children have some learning disabilites and LISD have been an anwsered prayer for us! I would recommend Cedar Park, Texas to anyone seeking a Quality of Life place to raise their Read More

Cedar Park, Texas - 7/31/2009
The cops here LOVE to give tickets, tickets, tickets....
Do not speed, keep your inspection sticker and vehicle registration current,
Other than that it is peaceful, great place to raise children and the schools
are really very good for public schools. The people are friendly for the most part. People from other states come here to live because the cost of
living is lower than alot of states, you may rarely meet a native Texan here
in Cedar Park.
BUT..........................................................................
the PROPERTY taxes are high, and they are based on the ASSESSED value of your
home here in Texas. So, if the value goes up, the property taxes go up, and
vice versa, so always consider that if transplanting from another state and
getting a home, the PITI vs. the actual mortgage payment may shock you.
There are lots of things to do, and overall people are very nice and easy to
get along with. We Read More
