Family-friendly Rockport - 7/6/2015
Get away from the noisy, crowded beaches of the north Gulf Coast and come to Rockport! The small, seaside arts community is friendly and affordable, with one of the top 15 beaches in the country. Fishing, boating, birding, whooping crane and dolphin tours conveniently nearby. Family atmosphere and a quiet place to retire. The best-kept secret in So. Read More

Texas Waterfront Properties - 1/17/2014
Do you think that Texas is just ranches and desert? Think again. Texas has some of the best waterfront properties in the US. From rivers, to lakes, to the gulf coast, Texas has any type of waterfront property you would ever want. Rockport tx - 2/22/2010
Move here only if you have a job waiting, or are retired with a Good income stream. I you move here expect a low paying job (if you can find one).

Starting in 2010 the local police have gone nuts. Expect a ticket for the smallest of violations, or just expect to be stopped with little justification. The revenue generating machine is in overdrive. Remember, no matter what your plea in court, the Officers here will (as I have noted personally) be right.

The weather is good, but expect lots of mosqitos, Fishing is some of the best in the world, but very regulated. So know all your regs..

At this time Rockport (I think) is one of the better places to live in the US, but expect taxes and living costs to go up. Bang for your buck probably will Read More

Rockport-Fulton - 2/16/2008
Located just 30-minutes north east of Corpus Christi, the Rockport-Fulton area is in a class all of its own. Offering phenominal sportsfishing in our 20,000 acres of land-locked bays, culture somewhat of a large city with fabulous fine art in the many art galleries and the Rockport Center for the Arts, the Texas Maritime Museum - the official Maritime Museum of the state of Texas and the Fulton Mansion Historic Home - on target to build a new Education and History Center on its premises. The combination of the beautiful small town scenery and the coastal cuisine makes for the perfect vacation getaway. Visit for more Read More

Rockport Texas - 10/28/2007
Yes there is new construction in Rockport.

Rockport's economy remains vibrant because its perhaps the nicest coast town on the Gulf. Its beach is rated #1 in Texas by the EPA for cleanliness and its a friendly casual town. It reminds me of Miami Beach before it got crowded and crime-ridden. The schools are pretty good and its not quite as redneck as many small Texas towns. Lots of nature enthusiasts and artists, yet its only 30 minutes from Corpus Christi. Summers are hot despite the Gulf Breeze and this is the worst thing about most of Read More
