Good place to live! - 8/17/2021
I like the shopping areas and the feel of the neighborhoods. The climate is awesome–four seasons, but it's not as cold as Michigan. I could be wrong, but it feels safe. I'm glad I have a house Read More

Life in the 'burbs - 8/21/2014
I have lived in Holladay, Utah, for the last 23 years. In that time I have lived in two different neighborhoods, both of them filled with great people. I am not a member of the predominant church here and have had little proselytizing from neighbors or missionaries that are members of that church. I have made great, long lasting friendships with many my neighbors.
Holladay has been remaking itself over the last two decades. The city center has new eateries and shops. There are several art galleries and pharmacies. The Lion's club has a beautiful aquatic center and senior citizen center centrally located. Local canyons and open spaces have great trails for hiking and biking. Ballet, opera and theater are all part of the cultural enrichment offered in the Salt Lake City area. A much awaited residential and shopping mall is in the process of final planning after years of delays from recession. There is an upscale business center with hotels and eateries close by.

The weather in northern utah - 10/2/2008
About the only good thing to say is that natural disasters tend to be infrequent. (Mostly floods and earthquakes, with the occasional tornado.) But it's mighty hot in the summer, and impenetrably snowy at times in Read More
