What BestPlaces Users Say about Colorado
Colorado is a popular state known for its beautiful landscapes, outdoor activities, and thriving job market. Many people are drawn to its vibrant cities and charming small towns. However, as with any place, there are both positive and negative aspects of living in Colorado. In this context, I will summarize comments from various users on BestPlaces.net about their experiences living in Colorado.
According to user Karen M., "Colorado is an amazing state with endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. The people are friendly and the quality of life is great." Similarly, user Dan R. describes Colorado as a "gorgeous state with plenty of opportunities for hiking, skiing, and enjoying the great outdoors." These positive reviews highlight the state's natural beauty and the abundance of recreational activities.
On the other hand, user Sarah H. shares a different perspective, stating that "the cost of living in Colorado has become unaffordable. Housing prices are skyrocketing and it's difficult to find affordable rentals." Another user, Jake B., echoes this sentiment, saying "the job market in Colorado is competitive and the cost of living is high. It's definitely not a cheap place to live." These reviews highlight some of the challenges and drawbacks of living in Colorado.
Overall, many users on BestPlaces.net seem to agree that Colorado is a beautiful and dynamic state with plenty to offer, particularly for outdoor enthusiasts. However, there are also concerns about the rising cost of living and competitiveness in the job market. Ultimately, whether or not Colorado is the right place to live will depend on an individual's priorities and preferences.

We live in Switzerland and visit my father, who lives in Fort Collins regularily. From our point of view Colorado has a high quality of life. We are trying to narrow down where in the state would be a good place to move, should we decide to move back to the States. I grew up in MN and have been living in Europe the last 23

Doesn't get much better than Colorado - 10/12/2009
I came out West on a fast horse named Dreaming. I was uncomfortable in my own skin back then, American Indian on one side (storytellers and sadly missing from the landscape by the time I arrived just after WWII ended) and Irish/Welsh/Scottish on the other, I wanted to escape the 60's and all the protests of Boston (my protests were with my family and not global or universal or so I thought) CO captured my fancy and kept it for 32 years; I lived in the high desert of the Grand Valley and adored the smell of sage before breakfast, cattle and horses scattered across my rented land (all 160 acres of it by the vast CO River); I took myself and my young son camping and 2 wheeling in my tiny VW bug, went on jeeps trails I shouldn'ta been on (people talked about where and how high they had seen me up in Battlement Mesa or wherever); I wanted the Old West, the familiar West of my NEngland television set and if I couldn't have that, I was going to recreate the passion all by my lonesome. I had

DON'T MOVE HERE!!!! - 10/21/2008
There are about 15 prisons in and on the outskirts of this place, and the mind-set is "Arrest, Lock-Up, Lock-Down. Colorado has more prisons than any other state in the nation. That is their "business." They need statistics to continue this business. Lots of testosterone just waiting for an opportunity to express power. Fremont County is extremely poor and has no ordinances governing licensing of contractors, so anyone can hang a shingle. They are also notorious for taking your money and running instead of doing the job. The Building Dept. says, "Oh, he's done that to lots of people, but we don't have laws to stop it." Yet, they arrested a 60+ yr old grandmother whose home was intruded by 3 women who thought because she was crying (over a leaking roof) that she needed to be put away in a psychiatric institution and tried to take her away. She was mortified, humiliated, had to spend a night in jail, had to pay for bail, had to undergo many court appearances and faced 6 years in
