I think Anchorage is a great place to live, there is a lot of open space in the city, lots of trails, parks, lakes, and creeks to recreate in during the summer and winter too. It is not dark here, we always have some daylight, even in the winter though then it's down to maybe a few hours a day. It is kind of expensive to live here - the median home price is around $300,000 give or take. But Anchorage has no sales tax, there is no state income tax, and I feel it's a good place to live and raise a family.
