Alaska The Very last Frontier

I have lived in Alaska for the last 14 years after moving from Philadelphia and it has been phenomenal* I met a wonderful Christian Man here and we started a family.Moving here as a single mother of two was very scary but well worth it!Alaska is Clean the people here are from All over the world and very courteous. The Winters take getting used to because it starts in Late August and lasts until the end of April* ALASKA is the poster child of Christmas* Winter wonder land. This is a slower pace lifestyle and filled with Animal lovers. My children love it but the draw back is NO FAMILY and it costs thousands to visit family and friends on the East coast or anywhere for that fact. THE COST of living is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, FOOD prices, CLOTHING, HOUSING all is off the CHARTS but the jobs here PAY extremely WELL. I looked into some state jobs in Georgia and I love the Homes I see on the Real estate sights. I visited in April 2006 and just fell in love with the atmosphere, the sights of so many positive African Americans, (miss that)There are few African Americans here but more that what you would think. After 14 years and AWESOME SUNNY (not humid at all )SUMMERS I am looking to moving closer to family but not to the EAST Coast by any means. I have been on the WEB researching the schools in Georgia because our two youngest girls are in elementary school. My Husband and I have raised our eldest children here who have grown up and moved to the East coast to be closer to family and they transitioned quite well. Alaska is an awesome place but as I get older I desire to visit family more than every five years or so and miss out on so many family gatherings, holidays. etc...No one volunteers to visit us so we wind up taking the family to family in the lower 48.(Alaska language due to our location on the map) Alaska is great the crime rate is very small the weather takes getting used to and in the summer there is never a need for an aircondition because the highest we ever get is the high 70's, no humidity and lots and lots of sunshine and fresh air and Many tourists during the summers. We have awesome sights, mountains, oceans and just breathtaking scenery all year long. I am looking to move in order to take advantage of warmer weather, closer to family**
