Asheville, NC

Pretty decent climate, though the Summertime is hot and humid except at night, which is when it cools down and becomes a lot nicer. I have yet to live in a place that beats Portland, Oregon's year-round climate. If you can stand the rain (which I personally loved) Portland is the place to be for comfortable, year-round weather.
Regardless, Asheville has a pretty climate. There are lots of service industry and construction jobs in the area, though not ery many tech-related jobs so all of you techies think twice before you move here. ;) The cost of living is not that bad here though so you can live off being a cook or waiting tables...etc..There's low crime here so that's a plus. If you're into bluegrass or "roots rock" this place is killer as far as music goes, otherwise if you're wanting to check out that latest "experiemental/post-rock/drone/psych" band you've been hearing about you'll be very disappointed......
