Funny, my family has been in the NC mtns. for over 600 yrs that we can trace with very historical, colorful history, grandma was Cherokee and hid in hills when tribe marched to OK. Response to people who talk about others moving in, that is the way of the world. I took job in NC last yr with gov after been away in military. Good i broke my legs, resigned and left WS as awful, dirty...I had another state tags and so many people with my work there telling me to go back to where i came from? Odd as they moved from TN and RI! and knew i was from NC before military. So many control freaks in the world. I am the youngest family of 11 there in mtns and maybe time to return. I dare any person to tell me i am transplanting or go back ... approach me! If my relatives can tolerate you all newcomers then consider just because somebody moved from somewhere else after YOU did-why do you feel this to be your territory? Maybe that person with the CA or other tag might be returning to where their relatives had been for centuries, maybe with work or veteran. Look in the mirror-why do you feel others are intruding where you have intruded and made yourself comfortable and dont not want others to do the same.Glad my family has always seen people as people and never asked anyone to return whence they came from!
