Atlanta is the southern Detroit

Atlanta was a beautiful town until 1964, then it began a downhill slide. Some parts are still beautiful, but it has no heart or identity. The quality of Atlanta is now "gone with the wind". Unless you are very street savy and enjoy danger, do not venture into downtown ATL or south ATL after dark.
