Atwater is a agricultural area, althought we are growing. The local recreation is average for a city our size but our location is great.
We are 80 miles from Yosemite National Park, 80-100 miles from the ocean at either Monterey/Carmel or San Francisco. Two hours north and you are in Sacramento and 4-5 hours south and you are in the Los Angeles area.
Atwater is almost in the center or the state and relativly close to most types of outdoor recreation.
