Yep, Disgusta. I've lived all over the country and around the world. I recently move from Houston and now reside in Martinez which is a suburb of Augusta and work in Augusta. I thought Houston was one the worse places to live... very congested, polluted, hot/humid, and dangerous. Now I've changed my mind. I've been in the Augusta area for almost two years and I can't stand it. Contrary to popular belief, not all southerns are hospitable and kind. Georgians are generally introverted and not well traveled. I have many coworkers who have never been on a plane and some who have NEVER LEFT THE STATE!!! There is a lack of good restaurants. The paper mills in Augusta stench up the whole city 2-3 times a week. The entire city and including most of the so-called suburbs are poorly kept and dirty. The only time the city "ship-shapes" is during Masters week which in of itself is a nightmare week for those who live in the area. For the last few who commented on the "amazing" surroundings of Augusta.... WHAT SURROUNDINGS!!! There is nothing in a 50 mile radius worth seeing other than Atlanta and maybe Savannah. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of Disgusta. I'm already making plans of moving back to Texas.
