If you can afford it, Carlsbad is the place

I've lived in Carlsbad (92008) for 8 years now and really appreciate all that it has to offer. Yes, ALL of San Diego County is expensive, but Carlsbad has [possibly] the best weather on the planet, is surrounded by great coastal communities with fine and casual dining, good local surf spots, top-tier pickleball, and a terrific opportunities for fun without the elitist feel from residents.
If you have the money, there is no better coastal community.
