We also relocated from New York -- back in 1998. I can't imagine going back -- for us it has been the perfect place to raise our family. We LOVE the winters and the cost of living, compared to NY. But it is true that it is not for everyone. For us, however, relocating here was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
