Considering a move to Charlotte

We live in AZ right now and I am tired of the rocks and cactus. We are looking at Charlotte because
we have heard many comments about the "easy going" way of life there. Here in AZ nothing is easy.
The climate is harsh in the summer and the monsoon season is treacherous. Crime has risen in the Phoenix area and the new homes are priced beyond the average person's reach. As an example, our house cost 100,000.00 in 2001 and the value has more than trippled since then. We are looking for something more reasonable. Any suggestions or comments about Charlotte will be greatly appreciated. You can email me.
