Review of Charlotte, North Carolina

I warned you...
Star Rating - 10/10/2006
I am an African American female, 39. This is 10/2006. I have been in Charlotte for six months I moved here from the west coast. If you are white and middle or upper middle class Charlotte is the city for you. The white fixed up areas of town are among some of the most beautiful and safe feeling places I have ever seen though many of the streets here are more narrow than I think they should be and they have highways everywhere. The black area here however located in East Charlotte looks like people left over from slavery. Many of the blacks in this area are thugs, ignorant, don't know how to dress, without jobs because blacks don't open enough companies, rude and hateful. Some of the whites don't want to be bothered with blacks which is their right, but the blacks here are ridiculous. Murders and robberies two and three times a day on the news in the black areas. Uneducated, dumb way of speaking. Many of the buildings where we reside are old, the streets unpaved, parking lots full of potholes. Most of the blacks are not friendly, stand offish, childish and hardly speak especially cashiers at Walmart and drive thru restuarants. There are a few black dominated suburbs, but they come with no back yard or fence, bugs everywhere and more stand offish, rude neighbors. The Hispanic population here does not like black people even the mixed black Hispanics and yes they are here, too. Charlotte is a terrible city for blacks who are about something, but I don't know any city where blacks like the one's I described here are not the majority in our race stanking and messing up the whole world and the black race. So good luck to you in Charlotte and don't move here at all if you have children and can't do home school or afford private school which is about 500.00 a month for a decent one because the public schools in this town Suck. Since a lot of the white teachers don't want to teach black and Hispanic students and many of the black public school teachers don't know how to teach--- period. Most of the teachers and staff dress like they are going to pick potatoes and are rude beyond compare with no concern for educating children they only want a check they do not deserve. I had this city sized up in one day, but after six months I know I am going to have to move on.
