I read some negative views from singles about Charlotte in this site. Let me tell you something. First,thank God that we have all been created different. Some people like the place they live in while some do not. I do not believe that finding a good mate depends on the city you live in. It is true that big cities like NYC,Chicago,Washington DC, L.A, Miami,Atlanta have pleny of good looking women, places where you can meet them, and exciting nightlife to entertain them. However,an advice I want to give to all single people is that finding the right mate mainly depend on how you treat and love women, how you see yourself,how you see life and poeple around you. A woman that you meet in a big city will not be particularly better than the one you meet in a small southern town like Charlotte. It is what people have in their heart that count the most.
I am from Charlotte, and I have been living in NYC for two years. Based on my own experience, I do not think that NYC is the right place for raising a family if you really need the best for your children. Unless you want to be single and play around for the rest of your life, I believe that we should judge a city by the best thing it can offer for the future. Southern cities such as Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas-Forth Worth are not like NYC but they offer a good view of the future because they are economically growing in all fields: Jobs,housing, business opportunities,education, and the best of all is that the cost of living is affordable.
So, again, we are all different.But. if you are planning to move somewhere, make some requirements based on what will benefit you in the future. Do not fool yourself by the system.
