Review of Charlotte, North Carolina

living in the new south
Star Rating - 4/15/2010
I spent 2009 in Charlotte and was delighted by the climate, geopgraphical setting, friendly people, the beauty of the built environment and particularly, the quality of the medical care, which is first rate.

It's a great place to live, raise a family, worship, etc., but it's a bit thin on preserving it's past. Much of the historical downtown has been replaced with modern towers, which are nice, but it lacks the depth that living history can give a city. You can find pockets of interest, but too much has been lost.
