Review of Charlotte, North Carolina

Been There, Done That
Star Rating - 6/22/2006
I moved to the Charlotte Area in 82, living in Concord for 8 years and in Charlotte for 8 years. Most of the comments I have read on the School System and Crime rate are true. They are not good. However, if you are a young adult, there are plenty of places to develop a career. C.P.C.C. is a great place to learn and the price is right. There are plenty of night clubs in the area, catering to any musical tastes. The surrounding area, maily north, are also growing and losing their Southern charm. I left the area mainly because of the uncontrolled growth, the upswing in the Crime rate, increasing tax rate, and that lost Southern Charm. I left Charlotte for a small city with a lot of Southern Charm and close to the coast.
