Review of Charlotte, North Carolina

After visiting plan on relocating to Charlotte ver
Star Rating - 7/6/2006
I have recently visited Charlotte over the 4th of July holiday weekend and had a lovely time! My fiancé and I decided to visit the area after thinking of relocating there for the past few months and we also visited a cousin who just moved there himself to the Ballantyne area of Charlotte. Charlotte is a beautiful area. It was hot and a little humid but not as bad as Virginia Beach. I am looking for a calm area with parks and fishing etc I have that here but I would like to move to Charlotte which seems to have everything Virginia Beach has but things are calm there! During the holiday weekend visiting Charlotte was pleasant it was not as much traffic as in my area especially during the 4th of July Holiday weekend! We are looking into renting for a year and then buying a house the following year once we learn the area. We would like to move sometime this fall either September or October! So right now we need as much info on relocating to the area. If anyone has any tips as far as what we need to do please send me info it would be deeply appreciated. The people in Charlotte were very nice no matter what the race, very nice people,it is a very diverse area such as Virginia Beach area. A family area for sure! The cost of living is WAY CHEAPER than it is Virginia Beach area. The jobs out there seem to be pretty good as well. I am a graphic designer and my husband to be is in the computer IT field so we both are looking for jobs out there for that. We saw a lot of development as far as business, houses, and apartments. Everywhere you look new development! Everything there was pretty new! We checked out the areas near Concord and south Charlotte area very nice! The landscape is lovely too all over the city we ran into a rough spot about 2 times but most of the area was fairly new and well kept up! Plenty of shops and restaurants! If you love to eat out and SHOP this is the place to be! And the city is very easy to get around! You can't get lost out there! Plus for rollercoaster lovers such as myself CAROWINDS is only a few minutes away! So much to do you must make a few trips to see the whole area and do everthing!Well anyways if anyone has any info on relocating PLEASE PASS ON TO ME! I would appreciate it! Thank you!
