Review of Charlotte, North Carolina

It ain't so bad
Star Rating - 5/4/2006
I moved to Charlotte mainly for the cost of living. Taxes are a tad high, but not so high as to influence my decision to move here. I find the living very easy. Crime is or isn't on the rise depending on whose rhetoric you're listening to and what neighborhood you live in. I live in the Sheffield Park area and find it friendly, culturally diverse and a quick commute to downtown/uptown Charlotte via car or public transport. As for the crime? It's a city with city issues. One should never let their guard down even if you THINK you live in Mayberry. All that said... do a little research and ask around if you're considering moving here. It isn't for everyone, but it's perfect for me.
