as a reply: Hi my name is Danny I have lived in Clearlake since 1983, I Thank you personally for writting this artical. It help keeps people like you out of our little paradise.I have been swimming in this so called rash infested lake since 1966. Have known countless people that have been in the lake and never herd of this so called rash. Yes things are a little slow compared to your area we have now 4 stop lights in Clearlake and going on 5. We have several new bussinesses going in. Carls Jr. A new rite aid . A new Kelseyville Lumber store in Kelseyvill and a lot more. Here Like any other City has its problems and Yes just like your town we have some People that don’t live in nice houses and don’t drive nice cars and are not as clean as you would expect them to be. That does not mean these places are meth labs. I personally have not seen any meth labs I would not know what one looks like. As far as a pot shop on every corner. In the town of Clearlake I think there is 3. I personally don’t think this is too many. How many is in your town or in Sanfrancisco? As far as things to do. We have Casino’s Hikeing, Fishing, Konoti Harbor Inn, Some of the best Motorcycle riding on and off road there is, Mile and Miles of BLM land for hunting, I guess you would have not seen this cause you were looking for the meth labs and pot shops.

Thank you. I have been looking at Clearlake for the past couple of years to relocate back to Calli during the winter and to visit family during the holidays. I have heard all this bad stuff about Clearlake and I know not to listen to my X daughter in law. I asked a gas station clerk in Sonoma county to clarify directions to Clearlake and she referred to it as Meth. town. I do not get it? and am still considering at relocating there. You know what let "those people" and I agree with you think as they do (because they have already gentrifide and ruined so much of Cali). They "think" ghetto rosa is superior. Over priced crap houses and polluted air. A realtor was telling me what a great place Santa Rosa was and to raise kids, failing to hear that I been there done that and done. When I replied," it may be so, but the air quality is so bad never mind breathing." The realtor did not, "get it". OK, maybe better air than L.A and Bakersfield but to me coming from clean clear air, Sooma County not good enough. Clear lake is my pick.I think the twisty turny nauseating road will keep the other riff raff from gentrifying it.Horay, I love nature it takes care of things.
