Colton Gets a Bad Rep.

My husband and I moved from Baltimore/D.C. a year and a half ago. Even with owning a home back east sticker shock set in here. We bought a home in Colton verses what some might consider more desirable Grand Terrace and Loma Linda. Despite the reputation we have found Colton to be fine. Though I wouldn't recommend all of Colton, south Colton (Cooley Ranch area) is nice. The neighborhoods are diverse and an increasing influx of educated people with higher incomes are coming to the area. Housing by California standards is still reasonable and it's centrally located within the Inland Empire. We're slowly seeing nicer restaurants and shopping centers opening as well. I would say the biggest downside is the 100 plus degree days of summer.
