About El Paso

I was born and raised here, El Paso has had a downward twist since the early 90's. If you like the color brown you'll love El Paso. The people, the land, everything is brown here. There is little if any rain here, so its dry and dusty. If your looking for work, good luck. With the influx of military here, your chances are slim to none of finding work, and even if you do, expect pay rates well below what your used to. Another problem finding work here is you must know spanish in order to work even at burger joints. Fort Bliss and Biggs are growing by leaps and bounds, but the city is not ready for the influx of soldiers and families coming here.. we already have California like conditions on our roads, another 20-40 thousand people will only make it worse. Crime is also on the rise with all the CAV soldiers coming to Fort Bliss, so the low crime rates you hear about are changing. All in all I would not move here if I had other options. El Paso has a way of keeping you down.
