Don't listen to Yvette, just because she is homesick, does not mean anything as far as the quality of Tampa Bay, and I might ad, it's 100 times better than Long Island! The beaches are consistently ranked as the best in the nation every year, some of the most majestic sunsets, it's very much a big little city, it has all the amenities of a big city, but also has that small town appeal with many great neighborhoods. There's museum's, art festivals, an aquarium, a port for world class cruises, one of the best airports in the nation, there's several pro sport teams to follow, excellent restaurants (Hooters and Outback started here), but if you want upscale, try Burns Steakhouse, they even have the largest wine cellar in the southeast! Historical places like the Tampa Theater or Ybor City, look..is it the best place in America? No, but most cities aren't, what I can say is the Tampa Bay area is a place where people come to visit and often stay or come back to live, it's a wonderful place that I think you'll love!
