Review of Fort Collins, Colorado

Small Town Mentality
Star Rating - 10/29/2007
I moved to Fort Collins based on comments from friends who had been living here several years. I am disappointed in how this town does not plan for street repair and bringing in economy but rather on open land purchases. It is nice to have walking trails near my house and the country side close by but the number of people living in this area has outgrown the city planning. I can use any number of trails or parks in the nearby state and national parks. I think the city should have spent money more wisely. The overall plan for a city with lots of parks is a nice idea but the town is not growing with the population but rather staying stagnat. The people who are native to Fort Collins are not as friendly as you would expect. Many are prejudiced against the Hispanic population. There is very little diversity even with the college. I don't plan on living here much longer.
